Saturday morning September 18, 2021 crews started tearing down the old Louderback home place at 607 Denver Avenue in
Shenandoah. We were told that Charles Edward Louderback Sr built that house and the two homes adjacent to it on the left. The owners told us the house was taken down as it was damaged beyond repair due to structural damage from a fire years ago.
Charles Edward Louderback Sr passed away in 1978. His wife Sudie Mae Roudabush Louderback passed away in 1972 and both are buried in Coverstone Cemetery in Shenandoah.
From the 1940 Federal Census Charles E, wife Sudie and sons William and Charles Jr were living 320 Third Street in Shenandoah, and he was listed as Engine Carpenter with N & W Rail Road.
