Page County High School cross country runners Summer Kite and Aaron Hensley competed in the

VHSL Class 2 State Meet on Saturday, November 11 at Green Hill Park in Salem, VA.

Summer finished the course in a time of 20:22, her all-time best by 1 minute 9 seconds, and was 13th place, which earned her All-State honors.  She is the first cross country runner from PCHS to earn All-State since Cerrianne Leatherland in 2006.  Summer capped her cross country career at PCHS with her best run ever!  She’s now ready to set the school record in the 1600m during spring track!

Aaron ran the course in a time of 17:00, his best time ever so far, finishing 17th place and just missing out on All-State.  This was an improvement from his 96th place finish at last year's state meet.  Aaron will be competing at the Nike NxR Southeast Regional meet on Sunday, November 19 in the Rising Stars division.
