The annual Shenandoah Twilight Street Sprint race took place on Friday April 24, 2015 on First Street, in front of Town Hall in Shenandoah. This drag racing of bicycles took place with a beautiful view of the setting sun over the Massanutten and plenty of references to Shenandoah’s railroad history. The races involved head-to-head sprints between 2 bike racers, one after the other, with the winners of each sprint moving through a bracket format until final winners are decided in each category. The Town of Shenandoah Police Department even set out a speed camera so racers could track their speed! This was is a kick-off event for the Tour of Page County on April 25-26. This event was coordinated by Race Director Christopher Gould, and was sponsored by Page Valley Cycling with the assistance of the Town of Shenandoah.
