A permanent restroom will soon be replacing the portable toilet that is currently being used at the WigWam Village Playground in Shenandoah.
From the Shenandoah Town Council Meeting Minutes for May 26, 2026 we read “UNFINISHED BUSINESS Town Manager Charlie Jenkins addressed the Town Council about building a bathroom at Wig Wam Park. He informed Council a 10'x 16'unisex, single unit with a storage room, has an estimated cost of $15,000-18,000.00. He added the Town Crew would construct the bathroom. A motion was made by Vice Mayor Kite, seconded by Council member Haggett to approve the Wig Wam Park bathroom construction in the amount of $18,000.00. Town Crew will be constructing the bathroom. Vote was unanimous in favor of the motion.
