A few days after we posted our article about volunteers cleaning up Catherine Furnace, someone notified us via message on Shenandoah Newz Facebook and informed us that there was a mode of the Catherine Furnace at the Shenandoah Community Library.

We drove by Shenandoah’s Veterans Park on Saturday morning June 28, 2025 and saw where the murals on the walls at the park are in process of getting a new paint job. The west wall is still being worked on. The painting is being done by volunteer Lacey Sampson.
